Activate CampusKit Pro

What Pro includes, how to buy a key, how to activate it on up to three devices, and how the honest offline licensing works.

What Pro is

The planner core is free forever: courses, grades and GPA math, what-if targets, timetable, calendar, deadlines, syllabus import, focus timer, habits, flashcards and the degree planner. Pro unlocks the AI surface on top of it:

  • Ask AI chat inside the app.
  • The MCP server that connects Claude Desktop, Claude Code, Codex, Cursor and others.

Both are visible but locked on the free plan, with a card that links to the license page.

Pro does not include CampusKit Cloud, the optional sync and weekly backups. Cloud is a separate subscription with its own free trial, and Pro works without it.

Buy a key

Two options, both handled by Polar, our merchant of record:

The Windows app is free to install from the Microsoft Store. Pro is a separate license purchase through Polar, and you activate it in CampusKit the same way on Windows and macOS.

  • Pro, $5 a year. Cancel any time; the key stops working when the subscription ends.
  • Lifetime, $24.99 once. All future updates included.

Buy from the pricing section or straight from Settings, License. The license key (it starts with CAMPUSKIT-) arrives by email within a minute of checkout.

Activate

  1. Open Settings and choose License. The same step exists in the setup wizard.
  2. Paste the key and click Activate.
  3. The Plan row shows Pro, and the chat and MCP switches unlock immediately.

One key works on up to 3 devices. To free a slot, click Remove on the device you no longer use, or deactivate it from the Polar customer portal linked in your receipt.

How validation works

CampusKit is deliberately light on DRM:

  • It re-checks the key with Polar at most every 3 days.
  • If you are offline, or the check fails for any reason, nothing changes for a 14-day grace period counted from the last successful check.
  • Only a confirmed expiry or revocation downgrades the plan. When that happens the AI features lock and your data is not touched.
  • Re-check on the license page forces a check now and tells you exactly what happened: re-validated, running on offline grace, or no longer valid.
