Habits, to-dos and flashcards

The small tools around the planner: a daily habit grid with streaks, a quick to-do list, and flashcard decks with review mode.

Habits

Open Habits & To-dos. Type a habit into the box (for example “Review notes” or “Gym”) and press Enter.

  • Each habit gets a row of daily checkboxes for the current week. Tick today when you do it.
  • The row shows your current streak and this week’s completion percentage.
  • Streaks also appear on the dashboard.
  • Archive a habit you are done with; it leaves the grid but keeps its history.

To-dos

The same page has a to-do list for everything that is not coursework: laundry, call home, renew parking. Type, Enter, done. Tick items off and use Clear done to sweep the finished ones away.

To-dos are deliberately separate from assignments so they never affect grades or the calendar. If something has a due date and a weight, it is an assignment; use ⌘N instead.

Flashcards

Flashcards live on each course’s page, in the Flashcards card.

  1. Open the course and create a deck (for example “Chapter 3 vocab”).
  2. Add cards by hand as question and answer pairs, or, with an AI key connected, click Generate and paste your notes. The model writes a set of cards you can edit before saving.
  3. Click Review. Each card shows the question first; reveal the answer and rate it Again, Hard or Good. Cards you mark Again come back sooner, so a review session naturally focuses on what you do not know yet.

MCP clients can also create decks: “make flashcards from this lecture transcript and add them to my Bio course” works once the create_flashcards write tool is enabled. See connect MCP clients.
